Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026. These terms explain what InspectionTruth does, what it does not do, payment/refund rules, and important limitations.
InspectionTruth helps organize an inspection report into a buyer action plan. It does not inspect the home, verify conditions independently, provide legal advice, provide engineering advice, or guarantee a negotiation outcome.
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of InspectionTruth. By uploading a report, purchasing a buyer action plan, opening a secure report link, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What InspectionTruth does
InspectionTruth reviews the home inspection report PDF you provide and organizes report information into a buyer action plan. The output may include risk categories, a buyer attention score, before-closing checklist items, planning ranges, pre-closing unknowns, agent-ready wording, source-language references, and systems that appear acceptable based on the report text.
The service is designed to help you understand and organize an existing inspection report. It does not create a new inspection and does not independently verify the condition of the property.
Not a licensed professional service
InspectionTruth is not a home inspection company, engineering firm, law firm, appraisal service, environmental consultant, mold assessor, pest inspector, contractor, roofing company, plumbing company, electrical company, HVAC company, or real estate brokerage.
The service is not a substitute for a licensed home inspection, engineering assessment, legal advice, appraisal, contractor estimate, specialist evaluation, or advice from your real estate agent or attorney.
No guarantee of property condition or outcome
InspectionTruth does not guarantee that the uploaded report identifies every issue, that the buyer action plan identifies every possible concern, that planning ranges will match final quotes, or that you will receive any seller concession, repair, price reduction, credit, or negotiation outcome.
Terms like “appears acceptable,” “low risk,” “watch,” “critical,” or “pre-closing unknown” are organizational categories based on the report and should not be treated as guarantees of condition or safety.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for making your own purchase, closing, negotiation, repair, financing, legal, and inspection decisions. You should verify material issues with qualified professionals before relying on them.
You are responsible for confirming that you have the right to upload and use the inspection report and that your use of the service does not violate any agreement, law, confidentiality obligation, or third-party right.
Uploaded reports and permission to process
By uploading a report, you authorize InspectionTruth and its service providers to store, process, review, summarize, and transmit the report and related output as needed to provide the service, support the transaction workflow, protect the platform, and operate the business.
You retain whatever rights you have in the uploaded report. You do not give us ownership of your report, but you give us the limited permission needed to provide the service.
Payment and refund review
The report review costs $75 per uploaded report unless a different price is shown at checkout. Payment is processed through Stripe.
If a system issue prevents InspectionTruth from producing a usable buyer action plan, contact support and we will review the issue for rerun, support resolution, or refund. We do not guarantee refunds for dissatisfaction with inspection findings, negotiation outcomes, user-uploaded wrong files, duplicate submissions, poor-quality PDFs, or situations outside our control.
Report quality and limitations
The buyer action plan depends on the quality, completeness, formatting, and readability of the uploaded PDF. Scanned, image-heavy, corrupted, password-protected, incomplete, unusually formatted, or low-quality reports may reduce accuracy or completeness.
The service may miss, misclassify, or simplify information. You should read the original inspection report and use qualified professionals to verify important issues before acting.
Secure links and account-free access
InspectionTruth is currently designed as an account-free service. Report access may be provided through secure links sent by email. Anyone with a valid secure link may be able to access the associated report, so you should protect the link and avoid forwarding it to people who should not see the report.
We may limit, revoke, rotate, or expire access links for security, support, or operational reasons.
Acceptable use
You may not use InspectionTruth to upload unlawful, infringing, malicious, fraudulent, deceptive, or unauthorized content; interfere with the service; bypass rate limits or security controls; reverse engineer the platform; scrape the service; or use it in a way that harms other users, service providers, or InspectionTruth.
We may block, limit, suspend, or refuse service when we believe use is abusive, unsafe, fraudulent, illegal, or inconsistent with these terms.
Service availability and changes
We may modify, pause, discontinue, or limit parts of the service at any time. We may also update the report format, risk categories, pricing, supported file types, service providers, or delivery methods as the product evolves.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Third-party services
InspectionTruth uses third-party providers for hosting, storage, database, payment, email, background jobs, rate limiting, and report-processing infrastructure. Your use of the service may involve those providers according to their own terms and privacy practices.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, InspectionTruth is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or reliability.
InspectionTruth does not warrant that the service will be error-free, complete, uninterrupted, secure, or that the output will meet your expectations or produce a particular real estate outcome.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, InspectionTruth and its owners, operators, affiliates, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost transactions, property defects, repair expenses, financing issues, closing delays, or negotiation outcomes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of InspectionTruth for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific report giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless InspectionTruth and its owners, operators, affiliates, contractors, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your uploaded content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product, business, or legal requirements change. The updated date above indicates when this page was last revised. Continued use of the service after changes means the updated terms apply.
