InspectionTruth helps homebuyers turn an uploaded home inspection report into a buyer action plan. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices available to you.

By using InspectionTruth, you understand that we process the information you provide so we can deliver the service, support the report workflow, protect the platform, and operate the business.

We collect information you provide directly, including your email address, uploaded inspection report PDF, payment status, report access details, and support messages you send us.

Uploaded inspection reports may contain property addresses, photos, inspector observations, seller or agent references, repair notes, and other information included by the inspection company or report author.

We also collect limited technical information such as timestamps, report status, upload status, IP-based rate-limit signals, device/browser information, and service logs needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve the product.

We use information to create your buyer action plan, send your secure report link, process payment status, provide support, prevent fraud or abuse, debug failures, improve reliability, maintain internal records, and comply with applicable law.

We may use aggregated or de-identified operational information to understand product performance, error rates, upload success, report completion time, and similar service-quality metrics.

Uploaded PDFs are stored in private storage and are not intentionally made public. Report pages are protected by secure access links. Anyone with a valid secure link may be able to open the associated report, so you should treat report links as confidential.

Your generated buyer action plan is based on the inspection report you upload. It may include summaries, risk categories, planning ranges, verification items, agent-ready wording, and source-language excerpts derived from the uploaded report.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe may collect and process payment details, billing information, fraud-prevention signals, and related transaction information according to its own terms and privacy practices.

We store payment status and transaction identifiers needed to confirm payment, prevent duplicate processing, provide support, and handle refund or failure review requests.

We use trusted service providers to operate the product, including hosting, database, private file storage, email delivery, payment processing, background jobs, rate limiting, and report-processing infrastructure.

These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to InspectionTruth and to meet their own legal, security, and operational obligations. We do not sell your uploaded inspection report or personal information.

We use email to send report links, payment and report-status updates, recovery links, support responses, and service-related notices. Because InspectionTruth is account-free, your email is an important part of retrieving your report and receiving support.

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve support issues, comply with legal and payment obligations, and operate our business.

Unpaid or incomplete uploads may be removed sooner as part of operational cleanup. Paid report records may be retained for support, audit, tax, chargeback, security, and legal reasons. You may contact us to request deletion, and we will review the request subject to legal, operational, payment, and security requirements.

Do not rely on InspectionTruth as your only copy of an inspection report or buyer action plan. You should save your own copies for your transaction records.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect uploaded reports and service data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for keeping your email account and report links secure.

We may use cookies, local storage, analytics, server logs, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember technical state, understand traffic, diagnose problems, protect against abuse, and improve the service. We aim to keep this limited to what is useful for operating and improving the product.

InspectionTruth is not directed to children under 13 and should not be used by children. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will review the request.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive information about certain personal information. You may contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your request before taking action.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, legal requirements, or our operations change. The updated date above indicates when this page was last revised. Continued use of the service after changes means the updated policy applies.
